"BizTalk Ready" Developer Training

COURSE DATES: 13th - 17th October 2008

Course SGLC01: A five-day instructor-led course that will provide the student with the knowledge to be “BizTalk Ready”.
This includes the skills to efficiently and effectively integrate systems, employees and trading partners using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 or Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2.

Audience

This course is intended for solution architects and developers who are responsible for developing Microsoft BizTalk Server business process and integration solutions.
Pricing is $3000 + GST per student per course.

This course will cover:

Message processing architecture and the development environment provided by BizTalk
Creating XML and flat-file schemas
Creating a BizTalk map and using functoids to manipulate data in a map
Deploying a BizTalk project and managing deployed assemblies
Routing messages based on the contents of a received message
Configuring common adapters to enable BizTalk integration
Creating an orchestration to represent a business process
Using orchestration shapes to define a detailed business process
Configuring an orchestration for transactional business processing
Creating and using .Net code from pipelines, maps and orchestrations
Creating, deploying, and managing BizTalk applications
Configuring BizTalk to consume and publish Web services and WCF services
Configuring business rules and using a business rule from within an orchestration
Enabling Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) functions for business users
Integrating trading partners into a business process
Reviewing a Complete BizTalk Solution

Prerequisites

Before attending this course, students must have:

1-2 years experience developing distributed applications
Background in Microsoft .NET Framework concepts and technology
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
Working knowledge of XML
No prior BizTalk experience is necessary

This course will help students obtain MCTS: BizTalk Server 2006, by providing some of the skills necessary to pass Microsoft Certification Exam 70-235: Developing Business Process and Integration Solutions Using Microsoft BizTalk Server
